My paintings on paper always start as drawings. I liked this drawing so much that I struggled with whether to add paint, but when this image came to me, the background was black and pinkish beige, so I followed the vision. When the ball is thrown, I do my best to fetch it. Last thumbnail image shows a detail of the rock in the center of the painting, which was drawn on a separate piece of paper, cut out and attached over a patch of turquoise.

Mes peintures sur papier commencent toujours par des dessins. J’ai tellement aimé le dessin que j’ai eu du mal à ajouter de la peinture, mais quand cette image m’est venue, le fond était noir et beige rosé, alors j’ai suivi la vision. Lorsque la balle est lancée, je fais de mon mieux pour aller la chercher. La dernière vignette montre un détail de la roche au centre de la peinture, qui a été dessinée sur un morceau de papier séparé, découpé et attaché sur un patch de turquoise.
